As I don't see there being a more fitting place to mention this in, I'll use this subforum. The forums been experiencing a lot of downtime lately, around 22:00 GMT + 2 to 02:30 GMT + 2 for me, mainly. But what's a more pressing matter - the website being unresponsive or Classixz not just not doing anything, but not even saying anything?

-
The one thing I dislike about it is how the UU logo looks kinda dull as compared to everything else around it (it looks like it's made out of coal), perhaps make it look more cheerful.

The first zombie selection system works on a random basis. In other words, when someone gets picked for first zombie many times, they're just unlucky. However, there is allegedly some sort of bug that makes the same person become (one of) the first zombie(s) over and over again, and in order to stop this from continuing, what you have to do is re-connect to the server (preferably once there are 11 zombies or the current game has ended). And every time it happens again, just repeat the process. There's been a lot of discussion about how to stop this from happening completely (i.e. the same person not being able to become the first zombie more than 2-3 times), but those were just ideas and rarely anybody knows whether or not Classixz saw these ideas, let alone will be adding them to ZAM. You can always contact him personally though.

I have a better solution. Given that the Intervention was always meant to be a special weapon, used only by the worthy and on special occassions, perhaps do something along the lines of having a "special weapon" (i.e. Intervention, customized Mauser pistol, etc...) drop somewhere on the map, a random location, at any point throughout the game (hopefully in the first quarter, so it's still fitting to use), but have there be absolutely no indicators as to where said special weapon is or might be, only a text that appears somewhere on the screen (most likely in the bottom left) for a split second, saying something along the lines of "Mystery weapon dropped!"? Might just get people to run more.

With me as CM, Classi gonna be like:

Lately (more than usual, anyway), there's been an increase in the lack of devotion put into UU by the managers of it. I know that the new Star Wars game, Black Ops 3 and Fallout 4 are all here and have everyone super excited, but that's no excuse for disregarding simple things such as this. It's really all about things that anyone can see as - in laimen terms - dumb as shit; things that can be dealt with in a matter of minutes, so it surprises me that something like that has been put off for so long. For starters, we have Vovaik. It was all fine until he started excessively bumping old topics and mass spamming downvotes (mainly towards people like BrEn and Startune, from what I've noticed). Resolution? Give him a forum punishment (i.e. revoke his ability of posting and/or issuing downvotes). Next up, there's SixthCentz, the dude that spammed a bunch of meaningless topics. He seems to have stopped doing that, but I'd still issue a warning to give him a heads up in order what will happen if he does it again. People like these two, they seek attention in the most pathetic ways, and I can't help but blame myself for being one of the people that will give them the satisfaction of getting just that. But hey, all of these attention seekers quiet down over time. Same happened with DragonBallz and Cookie Monster (to some extent). Furthermore, something that I think is dead obvious, but for some apparent reason is yet to become a reality, but, shouldn't Griggs and the other head admins receive more forum rights (if they don't already have them)? Things like: deleting topics, deletings posts, editing posts, moving topics to according sections, archiving posts, etc... I think that they more than deserve all of this, and in the case of them having these rights already, well, I'm not seeing much being done about anything. A simple suggestion that indy and Echo mentioned a long time ago, but revised a little bit. Instead of completely removing the downvote option, why not allow forum users to upvote and downvote posts only when they have made a minimum of 75-100 posts themselves? Finally, Classixz, I will be PM-ing you (on the forum) soon about a few other matters that need resolving, matters that don't really fit here.

Stop looking for ways to put your name out there, it's a hidious thing about your personality. And yes, that's all this thread is about, tbh. You could've just as easily posted all of this in the original thread regarding the mentor program, therefore keeping things organised and not as if you're seeking attention. I swear, when I see shit like this, I'm literally leveling you with Vovaik and that SixthCentz weirdo.

Yeah, happy bday to the dude that completely quit talking to 50% of the guys here, defriended the same, and took down all of his ZAM videos and other zombie videos to make his YouTube channel a "pure CS:GO only YouTube channel". Cuz god knows we want nothing but that exclusive CS:GO content!

Happy bday noob.

6. Has there been any confirmation that the custom maps will actually come hand in hand with multiplayer or will they only be there for the BO3 Zombies community? I'm pretty sure that there will be custom maps for both, but I don't know. 7. Is there a chance that the development team posts their work and the state of the mod development on some sort of thread or something that will inform us (the community) where the mod is at in terms of development? Stuff like "01/03/2016 | +created mod core [by Classixz]" and such. 8. Will VIP/MVP/other stuff prices remain the same or change? (speculation only)

What does a balloon have to do with any of this? >.>

I am saying that a lot should be looked at as subject to change, but I'm not saying to regress too far back. For instance, although I do love jetpacking, I am not one to say to completely remove it just because people camp on pretty unfair spots - the spots should be looked at and handled, not the jetpacking. You get the image.

To get a better understanding of the whole matter, watch this video: Now, although indy was very useful as a community manager, he had a lot of various tasks to manage all on his own, and they ranged from just the forum to the BO1 servers, TeamSpeak3 and probably more. This thread isn't gonna be a rant or anything, but my ideology on what would benefit both UU (as a clan) and UU (as a community). Some time back, I suggested that there be specific (more specific than now) member ranks (titles, if you will) so that everyone in UU can devote their time to doing something that they can both: 1. do good (not do in a bad way, or doubt what they did); 2. enjoy doing (actually want to do and not just do it because they're in fear of losing their status if they refuse). This would also aid greatly to doing all sorts of tasks: - completely; - in time; - with good results. I'm not sure if I remember every member rank that I suggested back then, but some of them were: - forum manager(s) - people that would be in charge of keeping everything on the forums neat, properly organised (i.e. move threads in wrong sections to the proper sections), up to date, as well as correct (in both the sense of that something being true and gramatically correct), and other tasks that belong in this field of expertise; - player report manager(s) - people that would handle (look into, do according actions and reply to) all forum submitted, via Steam, in-game submitted (and other forms of informing) all player reports; - ban appeal manager(s) - people that would handle (look into, do according actions and reply to) all forum submitted, via Steam, in-game submitted (and other forms of informing) all ban appeals made by players; - complaints manager(s) - people that would respond to complaints issued by players and other users and forward them to according developers (Classixz for forum-related matters and fixing ZAM bugs and Rollonmath42 for snife mod matters); this would also require a new section on the forums, or a better one that the one(s) we have now; - organisation manager(s) - people that would keep things organised and up to date on TeamSpeak3, in the official Undead Uprising Steam groups and other fields (i.e. WhatsApp? idk cuz I don't use it); - trusted members - now, this needs to be completely revised, as trusted members should be standard players that aren't necessarily UU clan members, but have trust put into them by the Undead Uprising staff team; their jobs would be to contact staff members whenever a rule is being broken (and they would not have to include any proof, as they are trusted members to begin with - plus, anyone can just report them if they abuse/lie), contact the head staff team about inadequacies and flaws in the system (whether that relates to a specific clan members, a violation of rules that fall under an according field of Undead Uprising or other) and - most importantly - not mix their personal thoughts on something when it comes to doing what they have to do (i.e. not give their friends an advantage over somebody that they do not know). There's more member ranks that can be thought of, but I'm sure you get the general idea. I initially stated that I would be fine with the members being allowed to ask for a position (i.e. ViiRuS_iQuicKZ asks for player reports manager, Stlmokevin asks for organisation manager, etc...), but if the head staff team thinks that it's better for them to set the members up with member ranks manually, then so be it, as it's up to them. Finally, don't mix this with in-game moderator/administrator/other. That type of ranking has nothing to do with anything that I have just said. All criticism, ideas and thoughts are more than welcome.

1. I have suggested this before, but it seems to have gotten nowhere. When a zombie with under 10-20 connections (this can be auto-examined by B3) is about to leave the game, before it asks him if he's sure whether he wants to leave or not, an info box will appear that will say something along the lines of: "You are about to leave the game, but there are only x zombies. This means you are RAGE-QUITTING and WILL BE BANNED. Are you sure?" (and this all stands if there's under 11 zombies, obviously). This would all reduce the ammount of rage-quits, as well as give players a far better understanding as to what's allowed and what is not. And if the developers feel like it's better, then this whole thing can work on anyone that is about to commit a rage-quit act, and not just the players with only 10-20 connections tracked. 2. Start working on information GUIs. Things that are basically neater looking and more organised than what you see when you do stuff like !rules. A simple form of viewing them would be by pressing something like F3 and then accessing what you want from there (clickable tabs or selectable via keyboard keys). There could be stuff like rules, tips, about VIP, MVP and player skins, etc... Purely informative stuff for people that are oblivious to the fact that UU has a forum and not just Black Ops 1 server. Also, there would have to be constant reminders (especially for newcomers) that this exists and should be used. 3. Buff the STG-44 (in Spetsnaz) by just a little bit (around 10-20 more damage per every bullet fired). 4. Fix Escaper (Long Sprint - not only does it have no use, but it now doesn't work at all). 5. Fast Zombie Pro - like I've said before, it would be cool if there were pro versions for perks for humans (you'd be able to buy them after you have obtained the original perk, and the pro ones would also cost more and offer you more regarding the same field), but it would also be great to have a pro version of Fast Zombie for the zombies to buy. It would cost around 2-3 times as much as Fast Zombie itself (anything between 600-1000 points, mainly), and it would: - double your knifing speed (would work with the regular zombie hands, the Ballistic Knife and the SOG Knife); - double your Tactical Insertion placement speed (waiting time would be reduced by 50%) [iMPORTANT PART]; - add a 25% chance of you getting Speedoo as a zombie (only for that life); - add a 10% chance of you getting Ninja as a zombie (only for that life). The original idea can be found here: http://undeaduprising.net/new/index.php?/topic/5125-some-random-thoughts-about-zam/#entry34561(look for my post that's somewhere in the middle of page one).

Nerfing in the campers' POV isn't bad, and it's what I was aiming at. And it's what you further elaborated in your previous post.

Regarding Forcefield. A great way to optimize Forcefield is to set the price to something reasonable (i.e. 1000 points) and have it better counteract high-HP zombies, but also apply the following: - disable weapons when using it (you're basically going around as a walking torch that kills everything in its' way); - disable barricades. And an even greater way to optimise it is to set the price to something along the lines of 500 points, but reduce the duration time to something like 10 seconds and increase the movement speed (if I were the modder behind this, I'd then also change the name from Forcefield to Getaway or something along those lines). So, idea one is a general Forcefield nerf and idea two is a nerf + change.

Buff Escaper (change/repair that fast escape thing) and I won't have to vote for any of the above, but for the moment, I'm going with Escaper for that reason. And bring back Wehrmacht!

So, I had an idea for exactly how this could work, but I wanted to run it by Kevin and Classixz before I posted it. At the top of the website, next to the other clickable tabs (HOME, JOIN US, STORE, etc...), you would have a tab that says MENTOR PROGRAM. When you click on it, it would take you to a form-based page, so there would be things you would have to fill out (it would pretty much work exactly like the Join Us page, where you fill out your information in appropriate fields). The fields would be as follows: 1. Your Steam name: 2. Your Steam URL (link): 3. What would you like to learn? Do you need help with anything specific? Explain what you want to know: 4. When are you available? When can we reach you on Steam?: 5. Do you have a mic?: 6. Do you use TeamSpeak3 (TS3)?: After they fill this out, a mentor (this would be a new member rank, not specifically a UU position, just a volountary thing; someone who would volountarily help people out) would mark the mentorship request as "being handled" (or something like that) and he'd then be in charge of teaching that individual what he wants to know. In my opinion, a mentor can be anyone that: - types fluent English - speaks fluent English - knows at least 90% of everything there is to know about UU, ZAM, the forums, TeamSpeak3, etc... - will actually have the time and devotion to teach people and help them out, and not just go "I can't, too busy, someone else do it." Discuss.
