  5. I feel it's time I put my two cents in. I'd hop that everyone reading this does so without bias, biases are what is causing this(biases towards or against our new UU members) We need to realize that UU is a community, we stick together as friends, even if it doesnt always seem like it you guys are the best, you all together are what keeps the community running. But as with everything, not everyone has the same roles, I am talking about our head admins in particular. NOTE: I do not mean to start any more drama than is already happening, I want to give people some insight as well as my opinion on how to solve this. Yes, the new UU members are causing a bit of an argument, but I think there are a few things that we aren't considering here. Classixz, Kevin, Grigzor, Pat, our head admins, we need to put our trust in them to make the right decisions for UU as a whole. If they believe that someone deserves a position in UU I don't think we should dispute it. They are the ones we put our faith in to help things run smoothly for us. If anything we should be thankful that they haven't implemented an app system similar to Zr REAL ZR APPLICATION: 1. Do you have a computer? ensur ye plx Am i saying our application system is perfect? No, nothing is perfect, but it works, and if we see flaws i think we need to work together as a community to fix them, I know were perfectly capable of doing so. I know this will be the hot topic at the next community meeting, but I hope we treat this all with respect and maturity, because arguing will not fix this. Also: I would like to hear what our newest UU members think of this issue, as it does concern them a great deal @ZoMbieK9 @NMAPLE12 @AndrewChaput I'm not saying we NEED to change the voting system, I'm saying that things CAN be changed, and to do so, we need to work together.   7. The contents of the ZAM shop are great as it is, but in my opinion, there is one thing that needs to be changed. The shop ui is server sided, why? Having a client sided shop would eliminate "shop lag" and give everyone a fast, clear shop gui.

    Zam Suggestion

    I honestly think this would a good idea with way higher requirements, maybe 3:00 time left, 150 cades placed. This could be a way to help stop hard camping. I hope it would at least be taken into consideration before being immediately shut down.....
  9. Ok, so awhile back I remember playing this mod called Roll the Dice Mod. Basically what happened was that each time you spawned in you get a different feature, whether it be changing the way you see things, how fast you moved. One of the "Rolls" that caught my attention was one where a person could shoot and wherever their bullet impacted, they would be teleported to that location. What if we did that in ZAM, for around 1000 points a zombie could buy a teleport limb that moved them to the location it was thrown. Now I what almost everyone is going to be thinking: "too op omg" This type of thing wouldnt be too op, because lets be honest, if someone has 1000 points just lying around as a zombie, its probably from someone hard camping. This would be a method to help suppress hard camping to an extent, and I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to add into the mod.

  12. 10 hours a month equates to 600 minutes 30 days 600/30 = 20 minutes for every day. If you're not willing, or unable to devote 20 minutes a day to ZAM, I'd say you're either extremely busy, or just dont want to play.
  13. @Bren! I realize that and it would have been taken into consideration when evaluating members. But what someone plays 1 or 2 hours a month every month it then becomes a problem.
  14. Alright guys, I know I rarely post on the forums, but I think this is the right time for me to put out my opinion on the state of the community and what needs to change. This is going to be a very long post but I encourage you to read the whole thing because I'd like to hear what you guys think. Management: Our first topic is going to be management throughout the whole of the clan (UU, ZAM, the website, etc.) I feel as if the clan is completely splitting up, mostly between members and regular players. We've lost respect for the normal players in the community. This shows in the way I've seen people interact and carry out tasks involving or around regular players. Members need to realize the THEY ARE THE COMMUNITY. 44 thousand people have played ZAM. Now I realize this doesn't mean they they're active, lets say only 2 thousand play on a weekly basis. There are currently 21 people in our official members group. 21/2,000 makes us just over 1% of the entire server population. We can't sit there and mistreat normal players just because we feel that we have a sense of self importance. There are a few changes I am going to highlight in this section, 1. I'm going to ask that we rethink the way we treat our players. 2. I want a new topic opened, this topic is going to be dedicated to reporting admin abuse, and/or their mistreatment of players. Organization: I can guarentee you almost every member in UU has wished or at least thought about becoming admin, and I'm sure every admin has thought about their demotion. It's time for some changes, inactives need to be kicked and regulations should be added(which will be covered fursther in this topic) and evalutations made every other month which should determine whether or not each admin should retain their postition. Second, ranks should be more defined between members, moderators, and admins, just as there are head admins there should also be head members, and a head moderator, which would participate in the evaluation of members/admins. "Feeder" Clans: I'm just going to be brutally honest with this one, UU-Dayz, UU-CS:GO, even UU-H1Z1 TERRBILE IDEA. Even if you're going to say "they expand our community and help us grow" they don't. If anything, these so called "feeders" only isolate and separate us as a whole. I have a question for all of you, how many UU-Dayz players can you name? I can name only two, thats because they all sit in their own channel away from the rest of the community. Are these people really benefitting our community? I'm going to ask that these "feeders" either be labelled differently and have their own ts section, or that they be disbanded altogether. I know this is harsh but what we need right now is unity, and these clans aren't promoting it. Echelon: People don't realize it, but Echelon is a huge asset to our community, it's and easy way to see and manage information on players. Literally as I was typing the previous sentence Proselyx informed me of a rage quit, which I then logged on to echelon and provided a notice. Echelon needs to be available to all UU members (giving them the ability to notice through the site) Member/Admin Inactivity: Inactivity is a huge issue facing our community, how can members set a good example and repesent the clan if they're never on the server????? I'm going to propose that a new feature be added to echelon: This feature would track the in-game time anyone above the power level 8 (which is regular member) There needs to be a required minimum of 2 notices and 10 hours in-game (ZAM eu, ZAM us, or snife) required each month. Activity needs to be evaluated every other month and decisions need to be made on what to do, whether it be demoting, or kicking out the person in question. Inactives are not benefitting our community and currently nothing is being done about them. Community Manager: Currently, UU has no community manager. We need someone to act as the face of our community and to handle things like events or bans. Someone needs to step up, or be nominated to officially take this position. This needs to be a person who is willing and capable of managing our community. Now, I know that you all have seen these types of posts before, and I know most of you just disregard them. I'm going to ask that you all please read this, and respect my opinions on these issdues in the community.   17. As many people have already heard, we are have been working on a UU Minecraft server. We are currently working on a full version of ZAM on minecraft along with multilpe minigames. We would have the potential to gain a huge playerbase throught the minecraft community. We've made a lot of progress, but are currently under-staffed. We may have a lot done, but theres even more to BE done. Our server is currently private, and only accessable to staff members/testers. But if you are interested in helping in any way, here are some of the positions we are looking to fill: Builder: Must have experience on a Minecraft server's build team Developer: Needs to have experience configuring and editing plug-insHead Developer: Must have a reasonable knowledge in Java, and have experience developing plug-insIn-Game Moderator: We are looking for players who are mature and responsible to take on this role although they will not play a huge part until our inital release.[FILLED] Head Server Admin: Once[FILLED] Communications Manager: gart3[FILLED] Designer: GunterIf you are interested in applying, or have any questions about the server, contact either Once or I via the forums or over steam.
