Sooo i was wondering how and if i could overclock. These are my specs:
 

I do have a laptop though.

Intel Core i7-4702MQ 2.2GHZ with turbo boost upto 3.2GHZ 
nvidia geforce gtx 760M
16GB DDR3 Memory  (this is ram for people who don't know)

120GB SSD + 1TB  HDD (all my windows shit is on my ssd).
And a 6-Cell li-ion battery (thought this would matter cuz overcloaking = more power used, atleast i think.)

First off, plug your shit into the wall and don't worry about the fucking battery l, second, you paid 1.4k for that piece of shit? Third, don't over-clock, it's just not a smart idea and kinda voids the warrantee. Lastly, get a gamin computer.

Idk why it costed 1.4k :/ And i want to overclock so i don't get framedrops / 20fps in black ops ;/

My  cores go over 110 degrees celcius when i use throttlestop, and it doesn't really improve my fps

Ye, it just shouldn't drop. Your disks are probably full of shit, adds etc. This causes lags.

Well, i mostly get 20fps and when i'm knifing i get 10-20 but that's only in zam :/

And kevin, i probebly downloaded the wrong thing than it was like drive booster or somethign idk

Run malware/ anti-virus software, may be slowing you down.

Ye, scan your computer. About 3 weeks ago my PC went slow for some reason. I scanned and found some 2 shitty viruses. After that it was smooth as ever.

Since its laptop (dont know which brand) There might be some program for adjusting power of your laptop depending on its power usage. For ASUS its Power4gear Hybrid, if you have some program like that you have to set it to max performance.

I use Advanced System Care and Malwarebytes to keep my machine clean. Neither are very obtrusive and both are free. Advanced System Care also offers a lot of other free programs to keep your machine running smoothly, like the gamebooster, driverbooster (keeps all your drivers up-to-date), smart defrag, and more. I've been using both for years and I haven't had any virus' or malware since.

Hmm well i have an acer braby. And i ran the driverbooster a few hours ago: that's the thing that crashed me kevin. I also did a quickscan with my mcafee anti virus, and it showed nothing. i'll probebly do a full scan this night. I'll most likely be resetting it to normal again. i used to get around 300-450 fps. :/ ( on a normal match not zam)

 

And for kevin, i'll try malwarebytes. I don't really trust iobit anymore; it gave me a shitty bing taskbar and it crashed me so.. But thx tho, everyone.

 

 

note: wow; i ran the malwarebytes and a minute after it started it already detected something.

2nd note: 7 virusses were found x'D.

Malware bytes is amazing, I recommend it, I also recommend you getting rid of mcafee as it is shittier then a port-a-pottie. Try avg or avast, both free.

well mcafee was free with this pc atleast for a month (except if i completly reset my laptop). so i just used it. now it's spamming me every single minute that my scrubscription is almost over which leads to my tab (black ops) closing which leads to me dieing which leads to me raging more, so you're right mcafee is shit ;-;
