Day 1 on the UU DayZ Server

Featured Replies

I like zombie games, ofc. You do too, obviously. Classixz has recently setup a Arma II: DayZ mod server. You should seriously check it out.

Anyways..

BIGz and I had some adventure's on the server tonight, for sure. You don't spawn in with much, but it adds to the realism, imo. Zombies were abundant. Spawning in, you may only notice a few at first. This is the zombie's clever way of running straight game on you. They're hiding in ze bushes, and behind the houses. Quietly napping and dreaming of turtles i'm sure. But they smell me. They hear and see me. They chase.

Mobility is your best tool in DayZ Mod. The zombies can't keep pace with you if you're sprinting, but if you slow down or take a break, you may be swarmed quickly.

One thing you notice, is how empty the world is. It makes you feel as if you truly are alone.

I often find myself staring off into the distance and thinking about how well done this game is. Sometimes it's almost beautiful.

And then you stumble across a church that's filled with zombies. Of coarse this happens when I had no ammo or other weapons for defense.

Zombies love churches, apparently.

You can find street signs, that will point you in the right direction if you want to check out a new area.

In this case, I went to Banota. There's an airstrip there, and usually you can find some decent weapons.

And that's pretty much it. Lots of other stuff happened, of coarse. We found a helicopter, and after repairing took it out for a spin. Yeah, we died. In spectacular fashion, via sign. It was bad-ass.

Anyways, check out the server if you happen to have Arma 2, and Operation Arrowhead (DLC). If you like zombie games, you'll most likely enjoy this one along with ZAM.

Kevin i looked away from my screen and then we hit that fucking tower scared the shit out of but before that you jumped out of the heli about 100 feet of the ground and died at neaf

Me and my friends bought Arma II to play DayZ, joined a server and we couldnt find eachother, so we left after 20 minutes of trying. This is my DayZ experience, I still have 20 minutes played.

With this DayZ mod it makes it a little easier to group up. It may take longer than 5 min, but while traveling you can come across all manor of vehicles, including several different types of choppers.

Me and my friend had an big base in zeleno with cinder walls and stuff.. But it was not finished and open at some areas.. so we bought a New Blackhawk which was really really expensive so we landed it in the base.. I was on the gear and a bambie holds an g17 at my head.. I thought it was my friend and didnt do enythink and he killed me and stole the heli .. For my friend it was to late to react so an fckn bambie stole us an Blackhawk ...

There is a whole book of dayz memories which i had

I really would like to try and play these new types of zombie survival games but if it takes longer than 5mins to group up, I just can't do it, need a nuketown #fastpace #codprobs

IKR... Found myself riding a bike around the friggin map for 15 min trying to group up.

xD Its hard to find your friends when you first time play DayZ but later its easy. Like if I spawn middle of forest or somewhere middle of nowhere it wont take long for me to find out where I am :)
