Now, although indy was very useful as a community manager, he had a lot of various tasks to manage all on his own, and they ranged from just the forum to the BO1 servers, TeamSpeak3 and probably more. This thread isn't gonna be a rant or anything, but my ideology on what would benefit both UU (as a clan) and UU (as a community).

 

Some time back, I suggested that there be specific (more specific than now) member ranks (titles, if you will) so that everyone in UU can devote their time to doing something that they can both:

1. do good (not do in a bad way, or doubt what they did);

2. enjoy doing (actually want to do and not just do it because they're in fear of losing their status if they refuse).

 

This would also aid greatly to doing all sorts of tasks:

 - completely;

 - in time;

 - with good results.

 

I'm not sure if I remember every member rank that I suggested back then, but some of them were:

 - forum manager(s) - people that would be in charge of keeping everything on the forums neat, properly organised (i.e. move threads in wrong sections to the proper sections), up to date, as well as correct (in both the sense of that something being true and gramatically correct), and other tasks that belong in this field of expertise;

 - player report manager(s) - people that would handle (look into, do according actions and reply to) all forum submitted, via Steam, in-game submitted (and other forms of informing) all player reports;

 - ban appeal manager(s) - people that would handle (look into, do according actions and reply to) all forum submitted, via Steam, in-game submitted (and other forms of informing) all ban appeals made by players;

 - complaints manager(s) - people that would respond to complaints issued by players and other users and forward them to according developers (Classixz for forum-related matters and fixing ZAM bugs and Rollonmath42 for snife mod matters); this would also require a new section on the forums, or a better one that the one(s) we have now;

 - organisation manager(s) - people that would keep things organised and up to date on TeamSpeak3, in the official Undead Uprising Steam groups and other fields (i.e. WhatsApp? idk cuz I don't use it);

 - trusted members - now, this needs to be completely revised, as trusted members should be standard players that aren't necessarily UU clan members, but have trust put into them by the Undead Uprising staff team; their jobs would be to contact staff members whenever a rule is being broken (and they would not have to include any proof, as they are trusted members to begin with - plus, anyone can just report them if they abuse/lie), contact the head staff team about inadequacies and flaws in the system (whether that relates to a specific clan members, a violation of rules that fall under an according field of Undead Uprising or other) and - most importantly - not mix their personal thoughts on something when it comes to doing what they have to do (i.e. not give their friends an advantage over somebody that they do not know).

 

There's more member ranks that can be thought of, but I'm sure you get the general idea.

 

I initially stated that I would be fine with the members being allowed to ask for a position (i.e. ViiRuS_iQuicKZ asks for player reports manager, Stlmokevin asks for organisation manager, etc...), but if the head staff team thinks that it's better for them to set the members up with member ranks manually, then so be it, as it's up to them.

 

Finally, don't mix this with in-game moderator/administrator/other. That type of ranking has nothing to do with anything that I have just said.

What the fuck happend to ZAM at all.. I need those old times when kex was playing almost everyday with us including all the staff. YEAH we didnt have any stupid cool weapong from other games (ex. Invertion, Scorpion EVO and much more..) but it was better just because of community. Good players, mature people with who you could talk like to normal friends, FRIENDLY admins who were able to fucking reply to you everytime, like it should be.. Now? Classixz (owner) don't care anymore, let the zam burn in hell however.. Admins now.. Not much to say about -____- . And ONLY dumb fucking kids ruining the best feel from this mod/game.. From that Zombie Annihilation Mod. :-----) Well I"m playing this like almost it's maybe going to 2 years soon for me in ZAM community, much people don't know me at all cause I had a LOT of nicknames and etc. you know) I wasn't that showing up BUT what i want to say that I'm actually really sad for what happend to ZAM. I dont want to hurt anybody I'm just saying that this mod is dying really fast!! :( You know me as Frupiss now for some months its my stable nick.. That angry idiot that just argue with everyone and is rude to everybody. Yes that is right just because I lost all that happines while playing it. So by this I want to say my opinion (very shortly) and to say sorry to everyone who had some troubles with me. Sorry iFrupiss but your entire message seems like a contradiction. You complain about people acting like idiots, yet you describe your past with zam as "That angry idiot that just argue with everyone and is rude to everybody". If you lost interest and moved on, that would be one thing. But you clearly still care about the community, or you wouldn't be here to complain about it.

 

Bottom line, the ZAM community may have issues, but ZAM itself is still thriving. If it hasn't moved in the direction you want it to, well what can I say? I think new players have more help and support now than they ever did "in the old days". There will always be asshats who try to hurt other people to make themselves feel better, but that has never and will never define what ZAM is. Especially while I'm a part of it.

I don't know if this topic is to fix the dying (or disfunctional) community, or the dying mod, either way there is a way to fix it. Start over, all the solutions to fix the matter at hand is to add more and try and fix something. Well how about taking it out? Forcefield too op? Take it out, makes the game harder, and more enjoyable in my opinion. Rebuild the staff, rebuild the mod. The biggest complaints about the new cods are that they're too advanced, ZAM's sharing the same fate. I would love to see an old school ZAM where there's a few classes to pick from, utility, damage, hybrid. Take out these useless subdivisions which just make kids rage because they can't knife or they're too good at knifing. Get rid of it. Make rules for people being fuckboys and then you won't have to deal with them. (I cringe everytime someone complains about dying 2v1 when they're risking themselves knifing). A complete rebuild will refresh the community.

Classixz has the right to not care, and still does, he may not be as into ZAM as you think but he still helps the community.

2 years ago in ZAM there was tons of annoying kids.. ( including myself) don't judge I was like 11-12). And the admins back then abused there powers. ( not trying to be rude) well back then they were allowed to I think but nowadays it would be abuse. This community is actually still good because if you ask people who they don't like you will here the same couple of names. ( not gonna say them now) that shows it's the same people, and that there is only a couple of annoying and rude people. The admins these days are extremely nice. Just yesterday I asked Kevin oh can you map nuketown I want to try something out. He said yes, now that sounds nice doesn't it. Now the thing I tried didn't go to well :/ Viirus is nice, (to most) Indy is nice ( at most times), patriot I can't even begin I have never heard him have a go at someone, Kevin nice, classixz and griggzor nice, Hunting and bloody can we annoying German fags but that's ok because besides there hatred I don't think bloody dislikes anyone else apart from those couple people. He's nice to me :). And hunting the same, I STILL WANT U UNBANNED HUNTING I MISS YOU YOU GERMAN FAG. <3

I am saying that a lot should be looked at as subject to change, but I'm not saying to regress too far back. For instance, although I do love jetpacking, I am not one to say to completely remove it just because people camp on pretty unfair spots - the spots should be looked at and handled, not the jetpacking. You get the image.

I mentioned somewhere that 1.8 would bring a lot of stuff that could be abused by fgts that would ruin it for everyone else and it seems arlington is it, their are too many "unfair spots" the entire tops of maps would just be blocked, I'm not for removing arlington but I've already mentioned a way to nurf him would just be somekind of double jump or small boost, 5-10% of what its fuel is now, and this could be rechargeable
