Hello ZAM family, This has been on my mind a lot lately. I've been hearing some good and bad things about our regulars, members, and even staff since I started this roller coaster that is ZAM. Some people seem to think they know what's best for ZAM. You've applied for UU or one of the sub-clans 6 months ago and haven't had a response.... Have patience. For fucks sake guys. You may have all the best intentions, but trust in our leaders. Seriously. Good things take time. Maybe your buddy that applied for membership or a staff spot just isn't there yet. Moderators cannot become admins over night. You may think you know how to do it because you see us doing it. You don't. You haven't had the chance to learn the patience required to be a good admin. We're getting tons of new players every day. These new players need time to learn. (If your currently a senior admin and are not checking connections before banning, shame on you.) The new players are our future. Our future. Think about that. I'm getting off topic. I don't always agree with the choices that are made, but I stand by them. If I didn't trust Classixz, Griggz, and Indy I wouldn't still be here. The choices they make, keep this MOD alive. If hard decisions weren't made by these guys, ZAM would be dead. Instead, we're thriving. New releases, classes, skins, merch. It's impressive. Classixz isn't taking this money and buying a sports car, he's paying for the servers, fixing bugs, etc.. AND HE'S RETIRED! I'm so off the topic of what I wanted to say, so I will just end it as follows: I'm proud of us. But the bickering has to stop. Trust in the Clan. Trust in the fellow players. If you're applying for something, please be patient. Don't give up! Help new players when you see them. Teach them the right things, and not the wrong. Stop being judgmental. If you need to talk about a problem and do not want to cause trouble, feel free to contact me directly. No matter who or what your complaint is about, I will always try to be helpful when possible. Also, I'm not alone. Trust in the staff. Bury the issues you have with other players and find the common ground. That's all (prob not) Kevin

I'm just going to point out that sky bases with the stacker class are impossible unless a staff member is online. Also, go make a topic about it instead of high-jacking mine.

This is not a remove this and add that type of post. Just some idea's I've had recently. What do you think of adding skin/class bonuses? You may be thinking: we have those. Jetpack, bowie, counter uav. That's not what I mean. I'm referring to specific class/skin combo bonuses. For example: Say I want to go Misty/Master Hunter. Maybe when selecting I'll get a message at top-center saying "Tomb Raider". And my cading ability will be removed. To compensate you'll get cheaper mines and a cheaper bowie ballistic. Or maybe CIA/Corporal will flash "Soldier of Fortune" - and give you cheaper ammo refill and some slightly cheaper weapon prices. That's all I really have on this right now. Just some thoughts. What do you guys think?

Nobody is "obligated" to do anything. However people paid for Arlington, so that is part of the MOD. The fact that you think the mod needs a class with an invincibility perk that can be purchased over and over again says a lot. This would be abused. To say it wouldn't is kinda kidding yourself, don't you think? Do we need to give players tools that would basically make every round OP in the hands of players who already hard-camp every round? I do like the other aspects of the class, like the tracking. I think that would be a good perk for Hunter, or maybe Master Hunter. Invincibility is a bad idea though, no matter your argument.

You can't remove arlington, as people have paid for that skin. I don't know of a way to make this work without abuse tbh. Even if you removed cading from the class, they could just camp with a friend.

Viirus followed that up with a 1 day ban, which he was certainly entitled to do. If Viirus approves, I will lift the ban. I'd hope you would know that in the event that a staff member isn't on the server, we still have a full record of the players that rage quit. That said, I have nothing against lifting it but you will need to convince Viirus as he was the acting admin for the ban. Thanks, Kevin

Not to be rude, but what did you do for me exactly? I know you have some tension with Bloody, but at least he's trying to do something positive. Edit- aside from creating the frog logo for UU, apparently.

I never seem to have a problem with it. You need to practice how you limb, and the amount of cades wont matter anymore. A good cade limb can cripple a base. Whether you like it or not, cading is part of the game. Should we next remove cading inside buildings so it'll be easier? Think about it.

Yes, they're most likely allowed if they can be limbed down. Add screenshots if you want spot by spot confirmation.

No. If a spot is out-of-reach of limb or fist, it's considered out of bounds. In these cases the staff will deal with them accordingly. I don't mind someone exploring but if they use these spots to rack up 50 kills or to just hide till the timer winds down, I'll warn them then command kill them.

I think sky bases (with stacker class) are fine, as good cade-limb throw can bring them to a stop immediately. As for out of reach spots (on black cades, or otherwise unreasonably high spots that are un-limbable), I think a verbal warning, followed by the !kill command if they refuse to leave the spot is justified.

I kinda disagree with you there Pat. I think no matter what, you would never get an entire server to kill themselves to become a zombie. I do agree that it would be hard to determine who's legit, unless those participating suicide after the count-down. (It would be a rule) I dunno, I think it would be fun. Maybe i'll do a little tourney tomorrow to test the theory.

eh. I think if you did a most kills tourney, people would just spam the OP spots. Also, why would they reset the stats for a (two day?) tournament. I'm all for tourney's, but make it worthwhile to everyone. I think most zombie kills would be cooler, IMO.
